38 years’ experience at Bucks County Department of Corrections has given me a progressive and broad range of competency in the field, including oversight of divisional departments, special projects management and contracted services includes responsibility for the following correctional functions:

  • Security and security systems control.

  • Custody functions and custody/offender problem solving.

  • Compliance with American Correctional Association and Pennsylvania Title 37 Regulations.

  • Compliance with National Commission of Correctional Health Care Standards.

  • Finance and budgetary oversight including bids, RFPs, and capital planning.

  • Coordination and oversight of essential services including Food Service, Maintenance, Sanitation, Laundry and Warehouse.

  • Inmate health services, HVAC controls, food services procurement and staff uniforms contract administration.

  • Offender telephone and cable contract, and commissary contract administration.

  • Promotion of new and innovative correctional programming and objectives.

  • Implementation of Unit Management.

  • Offender treatment and counseling advanced programing including the initiation of vocational training.

  • Long range planning for programming, technology, facilities, and operations.

  • Reception, Records, Offender Property, Housing and Health Program enhancement.

  • Liaison to and Coordination with Bucks County and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Departments and Agencies

  • Alternative Incarceration Analyses such as Minimum Security, Work Release, House Arrest.

  • Coordination of management team to supervise departmental daily activities.

  • Staff Issues including union contracts: hiring, grievances, arbitrations, terminations.
